Congratulations to all Obama supporters out there. While I disagree with liberal politics, I completely understand the historical significance of this election. I'm proud of all the voters out there who made it out to vote and excercised our rights in this great nation.
I truly hope he succeeds in bringing hope to all the Americans who are in desperate need of it.
As for me and my house, our hope is in the Lord no matter what state our economy or political/social situation is in.
My hope is that all our readers will find peace in Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian, I urge you to be a light and an answer for people rather than a source of disparaging remarks and name-calling. I think we've all seen how that behavior doesn't offer solutions, but makes things worse.
Christians should know this, but we are all human and prone to outbursts of emotion.
Let's be "long-term investors" in people!
God bless all of you and God bless America.

Regarding President Obama It troubles me as a Christian - dating back to 1975, to read that anohter person purporting to be a Christian, does not seem to accept President Obama as a fellow believer. I accepted George W. Bush as a Christian while he was President and still do, even though I think he is personally responsible for the tragic consequences we see playing out in virtually every facet of our economy. I like to say I wasted away the first 45 years of my life attending Christian churches and circles, believing I was a Christian, but the truth is, I had no idea of what it means to be a Christian, nor did I ever examine the responsibilities we assume when we want to be called a follower of Christ, a Christian. Please - for His sake, stop denigrating folks who do not agree with your political philosophies, but do as we are called to do, base your opinions on what others have done and if you cannot accept this, pray for them. |
